Abstract:

I will describe single neuron recordings in the human hippocampal formation and how neurons in this area form and store memories.I will also discuss how the coding by these neurons is completely different to what has been described in other species and how it may constitute a key aspect of human intelligence.

Rodrigo Quian Quiroga教授以大腦的記憶編碼和信息處理原理為主要研究方向,通過記錄不同任務(wù)時多個單神經(jīng)元電信號和局部場電位信號,發(fā)現(xiàn)了僅對給定個體概念做出響應(yīng)的“概念細胞”(或“珍妮弗安妮斯頓神經(jīng)元”),揭示了人類大腦內(nèi)側(cè)顳葉區(qū)域創(chuàng)建和鞏固概念與陳述性長期記憶的原理。Quian Quiroga教授多年來在Science、Nature、Ce1l等頂級雜志上發(fā)表多篇文章,研究受到《科學美國人》、《紐約時報》、《華盛頓郵報》等全球媒體的關(guān)注(e.g.Science,2019,Cell, 2019; Current Biology, 2020; TiCS, 2020:Nature Review Neuroscience., 2012: Scientific American, 2013),H指數(shù):64;引用:20000。Rodrigo Quian Quiroga現(xiàn)任上海交通大學醫(yī)學院附屬瑞金醫(yī)院廣慈教授,入選英國醫(yī)學科學院院士、國家高層次人才計劃、長江講席教授等項目。
